Maintenance of your gas turbine is important to prevent unwanted and costly situations.
For turboshaft gas turbines, the bearing housings will be opened preventively to check the radial and axial bearings, the bearing contact pattern is checked together with the clearances and sealing. A borescope inspection will also be carried out on the various components.
For aeroderivative gas turbines, the compressor, combustion chamber, turbine and power turbine blades will be checked using a borescope. An inspection will also be carried out on the inlet and outlet, oil screens, thermocouples and flame eyes.
Repair of a gas turbine is often unplanned and inconvenient. To solve this quickly and professionally, the rotating equipment engineers of ROTECT are available 24/7.
When overhauling a turboshaft gas turbine, we go a step further and the heart of the machine will also be opened. The compressor and turbine hood will be opened using hydraulic torque and tensioning equipment. The rotor is removed as well as the combustion chamber and stator housings. Re-blading and balancing the rotor can be part of the overhaul. All this work is done according to the OEM drawings and clearance tables.
When overhauling aeroderivative gas turbines, either only the hot part of the combustion chamber, high-pressure turbine and nozzle is replaced, or the complete gas turbine is removed and transported to the workshop to carry out the level 4 overhaul.
